Get involved and become a volunteer today!

The Museum Store, youth and adult programs, special events and administration are a few of the volunteer opportunities available at the Museum throughout the year – it just depends on your schedule and interests!

Currently, the following volunteer opportunities are available:

– Mailings (primarily Tues/Wed at 9:30 a.m.-as needed)
– Museum Store – weekly retail help (1 shift per week required, on-going)
– Family Programs
     – Children’s Art Festival (April-various roles and shifts)
     – Museum Studios (2nd Saturday of the month)
     – Holidays at the Museum (December)
– Art in Bloom ballot counting (early March)
– Concerts in the Park (2 events-February & March)

Volunteers must be active members of the Museum and commit to a minimum of 10 hours over the course of the year. To apply, please stop by visit the Visitors Services desk at the Museum to pick up a Volunteer Application or download one here.

VBMA Docents

VBMA docents are specially trained volunteers who interact with visitors in formal and informal engagements to share information and guide exploration of exhibitions and artworks on display.

Interested in becoming a VBMA docent?  Join our information session:

Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Leonhardt Auditorium, Vero Beach Museum of Art

During this session, you will:

  • Learn about the role of a VBMA docent.
  • Receive details on the application process, training schedule, and annual commitments.
  • Hear from Museum staff, educators, and current docents.
  • Participate in mini-tours of our galleries and educational spaces.
