Art in Bloom is an exhibition of works of art from the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s permanent collection and exhibitions, interpreted by floral designers who create arrangements based on the content, color, and texture of each exhibited work of art. The number of floral interpretations in the exhibition ranges from 14 to 18 annually.

Art in Bloom was inaugurated at the Vero Beach Museum of Art in 2007 as an enhancement to the Museum’s popular Community Day, a free event for residents of Indian River County. The exhibition saw great success in its first few years, and after year three, the Museum decided to add a women’s luncheon that would include a floral demonstration. In 2011, the inaugural luncheon was an instant sell-out, with more than 450 in attendance. Over the next years, the event was enhanced with Museum Store trunk shows, high-end raffles, master classes, and dinners at private homes. We have welcomed internationally-recognized floral designers as our featured presenters, raising the profile of the event, which continues to sell out with a waiting list every year. The exhibition itself is visited by more than 2,000 people annually.

Although the exhibition takes place in Vero Beach, FL, participating designers hail from cities across the country, including Palm Beach, FL; Greenwich, CT; Memphis, TN; Boynton Beach, FL; Nantucket, MA; Ottawa, CA; Philadelphia, PA; The Berkshires, MA, Dallas, TX and Green Village, NJ.
