Bring the whole family to the Vero Beach Museum of Art on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for Holidays at the Museum! Celebrate the season with art-making activities led by VBMA instructors and local art teachers, music and dance performances, food trucks, art hunts, docent-led tours, and free admission to the museum’s current exhibition, Roadside Reverie: Glass Works by John Miller.

Art-making activities include:

• Easy Easel Painting—Use acrylics, canvases, and easels to create your masterpiece with VBMA instructor and local artist Camy DeMario.
• Snowflake Magic—Design dazzling snowflakes and watch the watercolor magic unfold with VBMA instructor Karla Nester.
• Donut Delight Ornaments—Sculpt scrumptious donut ornaments with your own frosting and sprinkles with VBMA instructor Sophia Strazinski.
• Whimsical Wreaths—Deck the halls with your paper wreath masterpiece with VBMA instructor Jaynilee Peña.
• Deck the Roads Holiday Village—Decorate a house to add to the charming holiday village with VBMA instructor Lauren Kennedy.

VBMA docents will facilitate additional family-friendly activities like an art hunt and a sketching station in the galleries. Outdoors, children can delight in a vibrant chalk art zone and face painting.

Guests will delight in live performances by local youth groups, including the Gifford Youth Orchestra, Osceola Singers, Glendale Elementary Choir Club & Bucket Band, Fellsmere Elementary’s Musical Mustangs, Rhythm & Soul Dance Company, The School House, and VB Elementary Drama Club.

Tasty meals, snacks, and refreshments will be available for purchase from The Frost Dog, Vero Grounds, and Off the Hook.

Experience the joy of Holidays at the Museum from behind the scenes by becoming a volunteer! We’re looking for enthusiastic teens who love art, enjoy working with children, and want to contribute to making this event a success.
