Continue supporting your favorite programs long into the future
BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS
Do you want to ensure your favorite Museum programs continue long into the future for the enjoyment of future generations? It’s easy to do with a beneficiary designation. Just name the Vero Beach Museum of Art as a beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans and life insurance policies. You simply fill out a form that is entirely separate from your will, which makes this approach an easy way to give.
Not only is it an easy way to give, but it’s also flexible. You aren’t locked into the choices you make today. You can review and adjust beneficiary designations anytime you want.
RETIREMENT PLANS
You can name the Vero Beach Museum of Art as a beneficiary of the remainder or a percentage of the remainder of your IRA.
For some people, retirement accounts can be the most highly taxed assets they own, since retirement-plan assets may be subject to both estate and income taxes. VBMA is a tax-exempt institution, so when you name the Museum as a beneficiary of your qualified retirement plan, these assets can pass to the Museum without being taxed.
To make this gift, simply notify your plan’s administrator of your wish to change the beneficiary. Complete your plan administrator’s “change of beneficiary” form. The Vero Beach Museum of Art’s tax identification number (EIN) is 59-1867408.
LIFE INSURANCE
When the original purpose for a life insurance policy no longer applies, such as educating children now grown or providing financial security for a spouse now deceased, your policy can become a powerful and simple way to support the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
Name the Vero Beach Museum of Art as a beneficiary of the policy. This gift is as simple as updating your beneficiary designation form with the policy holder. You can designate the Museum as the primary beneficiary for a percentage or specific amount. You can also make the Museum the contingent beneficiary so that we will receive the balance of your policy only if your primary beneficiary doesn’t survive you.
